There is controversy surrounding the ending of the Dave Cole – Marion Fontaine Hybrid Championship match from Theory Of Evolution: FOUR-EVER.
Senior Official, Matt Schalk was in position to make the right call, but due to the table that Marion Fontaine brought into the ring and introduced into the match, Schalk’s view was obstructed and Marion Fontaine’s foot on the rope went unnoticed.
Following Theory Of Evolution an irate Fontaine demanded a rematch with Dave Cole, but Myke Quest has propelled himself into the title picture with his win over Dave Logan. You also cannot forget about Eric Ryan who now has a guaranteed title match, any place, any time within 1 year’s time.
The title picture has never been more congested as it is right now. But given the way the Cole – Fontaine match ended and the outcry from the Hybrid Legion, management might not have a choice but to grant Fontaine his rematch.
